Passion, Performance and Progress
Bringing energy and creativity to every performance.

I’m Teddy Humphrey, a saxophonist with nearly two decades of international experience. I’ve had the privilege of performing on some of the world’s most renowned stages, including the Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room. I gained entry to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama after spending three years at the Royal College of Music’s Junior Department, before opting to pursue an undergraduate degree in History and a Master’s in Security Studies at UCL.
In addition to my performing career, I’m passionate about teaching. I work with a diverse international client base, guiding students of all age groups both in person and online. Whether helping beginners find their sound or coaching advanced players to reach new heights, I’m committed to nurturing talent and supporting every student’s musical journey.
Claus Ogerman and Michael Brecker: In the Presence and Absence of Each Other, Pt. 1, taken from the album Cityscape.
This transcription was done by Louis Gerrits. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest pieces of music ever. I’ve wanted to play it for the past 10 years, and while this take isn’t perfect, it serves as a fitting reminder that I am just working from a transcription and am not Michael Brecker! I haven’t seen many other players blow over this piece, and I would love to compare notes if you have.
